Almost two-minute images, recorded in 2013, show an enlightening object that looks like a eight-pointed “star, moving rapidly into the darkness. Its form seems unstable, with irregular extensions changing during movement.

Some American religious leaders and officials have suggested that the object may resemble cherubs - angelic beings described in Bible tradition with many wings, faces, and eyes.

Texas pastor Josh Howerton wrote on the X platform that the eight - cornered object reminded him of the strange heavenly structures described in the Book of Ezekiel. This book tells of bright beings and “ross inside the” wheels that move near the throne of God without returning.

Howerton said he was trying to point out a possible overlap between Bible cosmology and some of the images people are looking at on social networks. Conventioner Anna Paulina Luna made a similar comparison by online distributing an artistic illustration of a cherub.

Vice President JD Vance earlier suggested that some images of UFOs could be linked more to spirit or supernatural rather than extraterrestrial life, viewing the phenomenon through a Christian view that includes demonic entities.

The eight-point video was part of the first set of long-awaited files for UFOs, published Friday, including hundreds of previously unknown videos, photographs and documents.

On social networks, some users compared the object to seraphs described in the Book of Isaiah. In Bible tradition, seraphs are represented as powerful heavenly beings standing around God's throne. The prophet Isaiah describes a vision in which each seraph has six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet, and two to fly, while they call: the holy, holy, holy God Almighty. ”

Such beings are portrayed as bright, frightening, and closely linked to divine power and judgment. In Biblical interpretation, seraphs are often seen as a high order of angels linked with fire, purity, and worship with God.

Howerton's post caused widespread debate on X, especially after he quoted portions from Ezekiel 1:15-17, where wheels are described near living creatures, with a view to beryl's splendor and with the construction of “the wheel inside” wheel. According to the Bible text, they moved in four directions without returning to walking.

However, many users rejected this interpretation. Some pointed out that the object on video appears to have eight corners, while Biblical descriptions of seraphs refer to six wings. Others called the comparison excessive, saying that an luminary object in heaven cannot immediately be declared as an angel.

Despite the controversy, the video remains unusual. It has been captured by infrared military cameras and shows the object moving rapidly into darkness, with uneven extensions that seem to change shape. At one point, the military sensor draws the view as the object quickly passes through the frame and seems to leave behind an enlightening trail.

The object is seen making unexpected moves, changing direction rapidly, and disappearing several times to resurface a few moments later.

Officials who documented the video warned that the description of the images is given only for information purposes and should not be interpreted as evidence of the nature or origin of the object.

The files on UFOs were made public several months after the president ordered war secretary Pete Hegseth to declassify government documents regarding the UFOs and alleged alien activity.

Republican representative from Tennessee, Tim Burchett, who has long demanded more transparency on the subject, wrote to X that federal authorities had once said these files did not exist. According to him, the first publication is great, but compared to what is expected to come, will only look like “a drop in the bucket”.

After publishing files on the war department's page, President Trump wrote in Social Truth that he had ordered the administration to identify and publish government documents concerning alien life, unidentified air phenomena and unidentified flying objects. He said that, unlike previous administrations, this initiative aims at “full and maximum transparency” so that the public can decide for itself “what the hell is going on”.
