Surprise Trump: May run for Israeli prime minister

US President Donald Trump has made an unusual statement suggesting he may run for the post of Israeli prime minister.
I am now at 99% in Israel. I can run for prime minister, so maybe after doing this, I will go to Israel and run for prime minister. Netanyah will do everything I want him to do,” said Trump.
His statement has attracted attention because of the political tone and direct claims for influence on Israeli leadership.
There has been no official reaction from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah so far.
Otherwise, parliamentary elections in Israel are already scheduled to be held no later than October 27, 2026, when the 120 Knesset deputies (Israeln Parliament) are selected.
Elections are usually held in Israel every four years, but often they can occur earlier because of political crises or the collapse of the government. /Telegraphy/
