Strong winds in Pristina, Fushtica: No reason for panic, emergency teams on alert

Strong winds that have engulfed Pristina and the whole country have prompted local institutions to prepare for any situation.
In the capital during the Pristina municipality day, it has been exiled to different parts of the city, mainly on cases of collapses because of the winds, but fortunately no serious situation or danger was reported to citizens.
Directorate for Security and Emergency in Pristina Director Lulzim Fushtica for Kosova Prees has said that during today they have been in constant co-ordination with the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute.
He said they held additional consultations with them this morning and were assured that there is currently no reason for panic.

Despite that, since last evening we have engaged all relevant structures and all emergency teams are in full alert condition of”, Fushtica said.
He announced that the Directorate for Security and Emergency Services teams are on alert, the Professional Fireship Brigade, Capital Police, as well as teams for emergency interventions.
Furthermore, he announced that there have been several interventions during the day, but it is not a serious situation.
“During the day we have had several interventions in different parts of the city, mainly cases of falling tin because of the winds, but unfortunately no serious situation or danger was reported to citizens”, he added.
The director of the Directorate for Security and Emergency in Pristina has invited all citizens to contact emergency numbers 0800 1233 and 12244, adding that they remained ready to respond to any concerns or demands.
Meanwhile, the local public company “green” has asked citizens to be cautious in moving to parks, green spaces, and parking cars near trees because of strong winds. /Periscope/
