Rama: Albania has completed homework for EU integration

Speaking from his podcast this Sunday, Prime Minister Edi Rama said Albania is closer than ever, as it indicated the goal is within reach of commitment and will.
He stressed that the European Commission and member states are at a stage where they are discussing the Commission's report, while saying the report says Albania has fulfilled all its homework.
Rama said the country is in an unstoppable process of reforms and transformations that are drawing Albania closer and closer to the historic goal of membership in the European Union, while simultaneously strengthening the rule of law, transparency and governance.
“Negotiations have advanced at a pace, chapters opened in record time, relations with the European Union are built day after day with concrete results, and now the European Commission and member countries through their ambassadors are in a key phase of the process where they discuss the Commission's report, which underlines that Albania has completed all the homework and is willing to enter the closing phase of chapters passing through intermediate points and all this has not come by chance, has come with work, has come with results, come from a transformation process that continues in every sector.
Reform in justice, transformation of administration, digitisation of services, modernisation of the economy, investments and transformations in energy, infrastructure, new standards in strategic sectors are not separate parts, nor are the links of increasingly solid construction of the European state of Albanians. So May 9 is not just Europe's holiday for us, but it is also the moment when we breathe with a legitimate sense of pride and move forward to reach the top that is already within reach of commitment, engagement, engagement and will and will, will”, Rama stressed. /euronews/
