No rainy weather stopped Kosovars from spending weekends on Albanian coast

Despite weather conditions and rainfall, Kosovo's flow of moves towards Albania remains high.

Kosovo citizens, though rainy weather, have decided to spend the long weekend on the Albanian coast.

I'm from Ferizaj. We're gonna have some fun. Every two months, for two days here we come and spend the weekend”, one Kosovo citizen said. RTS, broadcast Periscope.

During the last 24 hours, over 17 thousand people and about 11,000 vehicles have entered Morin's Border Point. According to data, the flow is increasing from week to week as summer season approaches.

In the meantime, since 1 May, the agreement on cross-checking vehicles of Albania and Kosovo has entered into force, which has significantly facilitated circulation at the border.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, meanwhile, has published the April month figures in terms of the number of foreign visitors to our country.

According to the head of the Albanian government, April this year marked another positive record for Albanian tourism, with 891,414 foreign visitors -- an increase of +8.8% compared to April 2025.

It adds that from Denmark, Italy, Poland, France, Canada, the United Kingdom to the United States, more and more tourists are choosing Albania for nature, culture, coastline and authentic hospitality. /Periscope/
