Officially Administrative Court Opens

The official opening of the Administrative Court took place at the facility of the Palace of Justice on Tuesday.
The Kosovo Judiciary Council has called this event an important moment for the country's judicial system, stressing that this institution is aimed at strengthening rule of law and increasing efficiency in dealing with administrative conflicts.
“Today, an important moment is being marked for the judicial system in the Republic of Kosovo ʹ the official opening of the Administrative Court. In this case, the functioning of a new institution aimed at strengthening rule of law and increasing efficiency in handling administrative disputes begins. This development is expected to affect improving access to justice, transparency and professionalism in decision making”, the announcement said.
Representatives of other institutions are participating in this event, besides representatives of the justice system.
Among the attendees were Presidential Taskperson Albulen Haju, incumbent Justice Minister Donika Grovalla, KDR representatives, former KDR chief Albert Zogaj, chairman of courts and international courts.
KDR Deputy Director Arjeta Sadiku, in a word of fact, said an important historical and institutional moment for the Kosovo judicial system is being marked.
“The Administrative Court is being put into operation as provided by law”, Sadiku said, adding that this Court will be specialised to examine and decide on issues in administrative conflict and those from the working relationship that are in its jurisdiction.
According to him, the function of this court cannot be achieved without institutional co-operation.
