(2 months ago)The Constitutional Court in Gjakova, scheduled for the detention measure one month of defendants O. B., suspected of attempted murder on May 2nd of this year.
According to Gjakova's Constitutional Prosecutor's request, on 2 May 2026 around 14:25, at the bar's category “S” in Gjakova, the defendant, following an earlier dispute, has attempted to deprive the life of the damaged A. D.
“First defendant O. B. has physically attacked the injured by kicking at his chest, and then after the injured man tried to escape, he pulled out a pistol and fired a gun at him, and hit him with his head, causing him injuries. The victim has been sent for medical treatment, while the defendant has left the scene; police have seized the weapon and a knife”, the report said.
Pre-procedure Judge Driton Sadiku, after holding the hearing, has praised the legal conditions for appointing the detention measure to the defendants.
With this decision, defendant O. B., will be held in detention for a month, which will be counted by the date of arrest.
The sides have a right to that decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeals.
