The incumbent prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a virtual meeting with American congressers Keith Self, Ritchie Torres, Mike Lawler and George Latifer, who weeks ago presented two important resolutions for Kosovo at the House of Representatives in the United States.

In addition to thanks for the continued and steadfast support of the United States, incumbent Prime Minister Kurti expressed deep appreciation for Resolution No. 1246, which supports the aspirations of the Republic of Kosovo to join the North Atlantic Alliance, and Resolution No. 1250, which calls for US forces to continue contributing within KFOR.

Acting Prime Minister Kurti stressed that attitude NATO in Kosovo and Kosovo's NATO membership are key priorities for Government, adding that they are essential to security in the region. In this context he singled out the conventioners' call for the alliance's four non-recognising member states to recognise the Republic of Kosovo, opening the door to our country to join NATO.
