Kosovo becomes full-fledged member of the ERA

At the General Assembly of Regional Energy Regulatory Association (Energy Regulonal Association (ERRA)), held on 28 April 2026 in Bratislava in Slovakia, Kosovo has been accepted as a full-fledged member of this important international energy sector organisation.
Kosovo, which previously had the status of an associate member in the ERRA, has already been fully accepted, including vote rights and more active participation in regional and international decision-making and regulatory policies.
<x0) Full-fledged membership represents an important institutional achievement, enabling full participation in decision-making processes, including vote rights, as well as a more powerful role in developing and advancing regulatory practices at regional and international level”.
According to the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), this is an important institutional step that testifies to Kosovo's dedication in meeting international standards in the energy sector and strengthening its role in international professional co-operation.
“This development testifies to the stable commitment and active engagement of the ERE in meeting international energy sector regulation standards, as well as its experts' continued contribution to professional forums and ERSA co-operative initiatives”, the communiqué reported.
