June 7th elections today the deadline for submitting lists with the names of candidates for MPs

Political subjects have only today deadlines for the surrender of candidate lists for MPs, with which they will compete in early elections for the Kosovo Assembly, which will be held on June 7th 2026.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said the 11-day deadline for political subjects will be completed Tuesday at midnight.
“Today, at 24:00, closes the 11-day deadline for political subjects (political parties, coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates) to hand over the list with the names of MPs' candidates to be certified for participation in the June 7th snap elections. Delivering the list with the names of candidates for MPs should be done through electronic platforms, and the procedure is similar to the last elections held in December of last year”, Elesi said.
According to Elez, the total number of potential political subjects to participate in the June 7th elections is 27th, out of which 22 political parties, 3 coalitions, 1 civic initiative and 1 independent candidate.
In the February 9th February 2025 regular parliamentary elections, 28 political subjects participated, out of which 20 political parties, 5 coalitions, 2 civic initiatives and 1 independent candidates. The total number of candidates for MPs representing these political subjects was 1,279.
Meanwhile, in the recent parliamentary elections, those on December 28th, the CEC certified 1,180 candidates for deputies, representing 24 political subjects, out of whom 18 political parties, 3 coalitions, 2 civic initiatives and 1 independent candidate.
