Italy: A 20-year-old drowns in Venice waters

According to reports, the young man was part of a group of three who ended up in the water. Two of them were rescued by a boat passing by, and the third failed to surface.

The victim's body was found today near the Guardia di Finanza barracks. Firefighters intervened around 05:30, launching rescue search immediately.

Two lagoon fire units from Dorsodovo supported by regional divers who conducted intensive research in the area at the scene. At 7:15 a.m., the young man's body was located and extracted from the water, broadcast Top Channel, broadcast Periscope.

Carabinieri and emergency medical teams also participated in the operation. Authorities have launched investigations to whiteen the circumstances of the event. /Periscope
