Internet outage by Iranian regime enters 72nd day

Internet outage in Iran was introduced in the third month, according to NetBlocks, and there is no indication when it will end, CNN reports.
The break has now exceeded 1704 hours, the monitoring group said.
This unprecedented move has already gone deep in the third month without any indication of a broader return, while authorities forbid the general public the international approach”, NetBlocks added.
The ongoing restrictions have been in force since the US and Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28th, following a shorter and divided break of the internet implemented in January during anti-government protests. These caused a brutal blow by Iranian authorities.
Iran has repeatedly used Internet blackouts during periods of unrest, where access to global internet is severely restricted or completely interrupted, making sites and foreign applications elusive.
During major disruptions, authorities often hold functioning parts of the domestic internet, allowing access to local banking and government services while interrupting communication with the outside world.
