(a month ago)A few hours before the deadline for registering pre-election coalitions expired, the Central Election Commission has released new details concerning the political parties' participation in the June 7th elections.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi said that so far (May 7th, 2026, 21:30) The CEC has accepted the announcement of voter turnout by 22 political parties, non-participation by 8 political parties and 2 coalitions, made up of 5 political parties.
The political parties that have until this time announced participation in the elections are: 1. Social Democrat Party; 2. Kosovaki Nevi Romani Party; 3. Ashkali Social Democrat Party; 4. Za Slobodu Pravd of Opstanak; 5. Srpska List; 6. Yenilikci Türrk Hareket Partis; 7. The Democratic League of Kosovo; 8. Word; 9. Kosovo Roma Progressive Movement; 10. The United Roma Party of Kosovo ? PRIBK; 11. Social Democratska Uniya; 12. Jedinstvena Goranska Partija; 13. Democratic Kosovo Türrk Partis; 14. Nova Democraticska Stranka; 15. New Democratic Initiative of Kosovo; 16. Kosovski Savez; 17. Ballist Party; 18. Citizens' Party for Social Management; 19. Egyptian Liberal Party; 20. Alliance for the Future of Kosovo; 21. The Akcije Democratic Stranka; and 22. The Democratic Party of Kosovo”, Elesi told Kosovo Clan.
Elez also indicated that 8 parties will not get any in this election.
“Democratic Unity Party; 2. National Ball of Kosovo; 3. The Civic Movement Vatra; 4. Union for Change Anamorawa; 5. Justice Party; 6. Srpski Narodni Pokret; 7 Democratic Reform Party; and 8. New Kosovo coalition”, he announced.
He stressed that two coalitions among political parties have been registered so far.
“1. Democraticska Stranka Bošnjaka and Democraticska Stranka Vatan (Koalija V AKAT); and the Ashkalinje Party for Integration, the Democratic Party of the Ashkaanli of Kosovo and the Movement for Co-operation (United Ashkali)”, CEC spokesman Valmir Elesi added.
