(2 hours ago)The Randa Crime Department has announced that it has launched investigations into the armed clash that took place today around 13:40 in “Witness Board in Podujevo, where four people were injured.
According to the prosecution, three persons allegedly exchanged shootings were involved. As a result, body injuries have affected all three involved in the conflict, as well as an occasional passerby.
Initial investigations indicate that those involved have family ties, namely grandchildren and uncle, while the alleged motive is related to an earlier dispute.
On the heels of Kosovo Police's acceptance of information, the supervisory prosecutor from the RS Department has appeared at the scene and, in co-operation with the relevant units of the Kosovo Police, has undertaken all necessary investigative measures and actions aimed at the full lighting of the circumstances of this case”, the prosecution's announcement said.
The prosecution has indicated that the suspects are being investigated for criminal work “the serious assassination in the attempted”, according to Article 173, concerning the 28th Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The four injured have been sent to the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo (QKUK), where they are receiving the necessary medical treatment.
Earlier in the day, the caretaker prosecutor Menduh Kastrati had declared that the first allegations were that those involved in the conflict had family ties, while the motive was not yet clear.
Even Pristina Regional Police Directorate Director Basri Shabani confirmed that three of the wounded were participants in the conflict, while the fourth was a random passerby who suffered injuries.
The QKUK Emergency Clinic has revealed that the four injured persons have been wounded by the firearm and, although the injuries are severe, their condition is stable.
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has indicated that, in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, it is continuing the enterprise of all investigative actions for the full whiteening of the circumstances of this event.

The Basic Prosecutor in Pristina-The Department of Crime announces the public opinion that today, at around 13:40, the Witness's Board in the Podujevo municipality, there has been an armed clash between three (3) persons. As a result of gunshot shooting, three (3) persons involved in the event have suffered injuries, as well as an occasional passerby.
According to initial records of the investigation, it is suspected that family ties (nip and uncle) are involved, while the alleged motive of the case relates to a preliminary dispute.
Immediately after the Kosovo Police's acceptance of information, the Kosovo Department of War Care prosecutor has stepped up to the scene, and in co-operation with the relevant units of the Kosovo Police have undertaken all necessary investigative measures and actions aimed at fully lighting the circumstances of the case.
These same actions are suspected of committing the criminal act -- the heavy attempted murder -- by Article 173 over the 28th Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
People injured with firearms have been sent to the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo (QKUK) for the necessary medical treatment.
The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, in full co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, is continuing to undertake all necessary investigative actions for the full whiteening of the circumstances of the event.
