Lavrov begs the Special to decide against Thaci: Peace in the Balkans Reaches Only Its Sentence

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has made a statement concerning Kosovo and the judicial process against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders.
In a public presentation, Lavrov has claimed that peace in the Balkans can only be achieved if former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is condemned by the Special Chambers in The Hague.
“Peace in the Balkans achieved only with the condemnation of Hashim Thaci, leader of the terrorist organisation UCK”, Lavrov has indicated.
The Russian diplomatic chief's statement is not surprising, as Moscow's continued stance against Kosovo and former members of the Liberation Army is publicly known.
Even the Special Court itself has been constantly criticised for being politicised and that the direct impact is on Russia and Serbia.
