Kosovo police have announced that in co-ordination and co-operation with other relevant Kosovo police and justice institutions, dated 30.04.2026, they have made the extradition of a Kosovo citizen from Croatia to Kosovo. The suspect, police reports, had been arrested by Croatian authorities as the same was required through INTERPOL with international writing paper issued by Kosovo's justice institutions, for criminal work “ownership, distribution and sale of narcotics and unauthorised possession of weapons” and that the same had been avoided justice.
“The suspect after the extradition has been handed over to relevant police units from the competent region for continuing with other legal procedures”, the announcement stressed.
As of 01.05.26, from Kosovo to Sweden has been extradited to a Kosovo citizen who was requested by Swedish authorities through INTERPOL, under suspicion of committing criminal work “Dunim”.
“Extraditions were made based on laws in power and close co-operation between institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and relevant states where extraditions were carried out. The Directorate for International Police Co-operation will continue with the exchange of information with local institutions, states and international organisations with the aim of preventing, investigating and investigating criminal activities that connect with the investigation of the chief of criminal acts, as well as other activities in the investigation, the capture of persons and criminal groups operating inside and abroad, the announcement concludes.
