10 days of campaigning, over 10m euros in budget: CECI plan for June 7th elections

The Central Election Commission, yesterday, has held a meeting where it has made several decisions regarding early parliamentary elections.
There, the CEC has decided that the official election campaign period for the June 7th elections will last 10 days and 7 hours, starting May 28th 2026 and ending on June 7th 2026 at 06:59.
After the appointment and announcement of June 7th 2026 for holding early elections for the Republic of Kosovo Assembly, The CEC made several decisions under the start of preparations for organising these elections.
At the meeting held today, the CEC made the decision to set the deadlines and approved the activities for organising early elections for the Kosovo Assembly, which includes, among other things, the declaration of political parties for participation/reparting in elections; the political parties' declaration of coalition formation; application for the Certificate of political subjects; handing over candidate lists and verification of them; election campaign period; the appointment of polling stations; including diplomatic voter registrations within and outside Kosovo; voting period; through voting and in the office; the repositing of voters; the election lists; and election members; and the appointment of 38 municipalities; and election councils; and elections.
And so, The CEC, during the meeting, made the decision to approve the budget plan for election organisation, where the planned and approved budget for organising these elections is in value: 10,887,186.445 Euro.
In addition, the CEC has decided that there will be 12 days of deadline for registration of the June 7th election, where voter registration outside Kosovo takes place from May 6th to May 17th, 2026, as post voting takes place from May 25th to June 6th 2026. Also, it has been announced that the vote on diplomatic representation will be held on June 6, 2026, between 7:00 and 7:00.
Within the country, the period for opposition and correction of the voter list lasts from May 6th to May 18th 2026. The list of polling centres through diplomatic representation and the appointment of the maximum number of voters will take place from 5 May to 6 May.
Under the task plan approved by the CEC:
The declaration of political parties for participation or non-participation in the elections and for forming coalitions takes place from May 1st to May 7th 2026.
The application for certificate of political subjects (including coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates) takes place from May 2nd to May 10th 2026, while the surrender of candidate lists for MPs takes place from May 2nd to May 12th 2026.
The CEC decides for the certificate of political subjects by May 10th 2026, while for candidates until May 15th, 2026.
The tournament for ranking political subjects on the ballot is launched on 16 May 2026.
As for voters and technical organisation:
The census of voters outside Kosovo takes place from May 6th to May 17th, 2026, while voting through office takes place from May 25th to June 6th 2026.
The diplomatic representation vote will be held on June 6, 2026, between 7:00 and 7:00.
Within the country, the period for opposition and correction of the voter list lasts from May 6th to May 18th 2026.
Similarly, the CEC has envisioned deadlines for registering voters with special needs, favouring observers and appointing municipal election commissions and decision-making councils during May.
Election Day is scheduled on June 7th 2026, with a vote schedule of between seven o'clock and 7:00.
