CEC: By tomorrow, parties have deadlines to submit lists with the names of candidates for deputies for certificate

CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has said the 11-day deadline for political subjects will be completed Tuesday at midnight.
On May 12th, at 24:00, the 11-day deadline for political subjects (political parties, coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates) is completed to hand over the list with the names of parliamentary candidates to be certified for participation in early elections on June 7th. Delivering the list with the names of candidates for MPs should be done through electronic platforms, and the procedure is similar to the last elections held in December of last year”, Elesi said.
According to Elez, the total number of potential political subjects to participate in the June 7th elections is 27th, out of which 22 political parties, 3 coalitions, 1 civic initiative and 1 independent candidate.
The Central Election Commission is gradually closing the electoral deadlines that connect with political subjects participating in early elections for the Kosovo Assembly and handing over lists with the names of candidates for MPs in early elections for the Kosovo Assembly. Following the end of the period for announcing participation in the elections and forming coalitions by political parties, as well as application for certificates by new political subjects, we are now in the phase of reviewing the application by new political subjects and handing over candidate lists for MPs. After completing these issues, the CEC will organise the withdrawal of the lot for the ranking of political subjects in the September 7th” election ballot, Elesi said.
In the February 9th February 2025 regular parliamentary elections, 28 political subjects participated, out of which 20 political parties, 5 coalitions, 2 civic initiatives and 1 independent candidates. The total number of candidates for MPs representing these political subjects was 1,279.
Meanwhile, in the recent parliamentary elections, those on December 28th, the CEC certified 1,180 candidates for deputies, representing 24 political subjects, out of whom 18 political parties, 3 coalitions, 2 civic initiatives and 1 independent candidate.
