CEC closes deadline for new political subjects today

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) closes today, May 10th, at 24:00, the deadline for the Certificate of new political subjects that want to compete in the June 7th elections.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi clarified that political parties are automatically certified by law.
Under the Law for General Elections, the political party is considered automatically certified, so this process will only apply to new political subjects, coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates", Elez said.
By 12 May, all political subjects must submit candidate lists.
The"Drop must be done via electronic platform, and the procedure is similar to the recent December"elections, he added.
So far, 22 parties have confirmed participation, another 9 have announced non-participation and 3 coalitions have been formed.
