CEC says candidate names for MPs will be subject to verification at relevant institutions

Political parties must submit candidate lists to MPs at the Central Election Commission on Tuesday.
E The CEC has warned that all candidates aiming to compete in the June 7th elections for the Kosovo Assembly will be signed in the process of institutional verification.
Through this process, the Central Election Commission will check whether candidates for MPs meet the legal criteria for participation in the elections, in accordance with the Law for General Elections, Article 30, respectively.
“Under the fulfilment of legal obligations involving the suitability/ability of candidates for certificate, the Central Election Commission will submit relevant institutions to verify, along with the list of candidates intended to qualify for participation in the election, in order to assess whether they are in line with Article 30 of the General Election Law. This is a practice followed by the CEC even in past election processes”, said CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi. /Periscope
