Britain sends battleships to the Middle East, in case of escalation at Hormuz

Great Britain has sent warships to the Middle East ahead of a possible mission to protect other British ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
By CNNHMS Royal Navy Dragon will support mine-clearing efforts and protect ships as part of a strictly protective plan.
“The preliminary deployment of HMS Dragon is part of careful planning that will ensure that the United Kingdom is ready, as part of a multinational coalition led jointly by the United Kingdom and France, to ensure the strait, when conditions allow”, a British Defence Ministry spokesman said.
Great Britain and France have led an effort to build a multinational mission to secure transport to waterways by encouraging other international partners to participate. /Periscope
