ATK: From June 1st 2026, cash payments over 2,000 euros are halted

According to the announcement, all outstanding payments must be realized through the banking system or other electronic forms of payment, in line with the legal provisions in force.

ATK has called on citizens and businesses to respect the legally defined restrictions, with the aim of avoiding possible fines and sanctions.

On June 1st 2026, payments on more than 2,000m individuals are not allowed to be made in cash.
