AKR not participating in June 7th elections

The New Kosovo coalition (AKR) will not participate in the June 7th parliamentary elections.
The news has revealed the AKR chairman, Emir Abrashi, through an announcement on social networks, where he stressed that the decision was made after party discussions and internal consultations.
According to Abrasch, at this stage AKR will focus on the complete restructuring and reform of the political subject, with the aim of restoring it as a serious alternative to the political scene.
This is a responsible and focused decision on the future of the AKR. In the following period, our energy will focus on the overall restructuring of the party, internal reorganisation, the creation of an open platform for ideas and the design of a modern programme that actually addresses the challenges and needs of Kosovo citizens”, he has declared.
Abrashi has said that citizens need a reliable political alternative and that the reform process aims to position the AKR as a political force for those who, according to him, have lost confidence in politics.
At the end of his response, he has thanked party members and supporters for their support over the years, adding that the AKR's political journey will continue <x0 with more reflections, more vision and more responsibility towards citizens”. /Periscope
