After the minister declared that the VAT removal would help businessmen rather than citizens, MP Ymer has returned it with a quote of the oil head himself, casting doubts about close ties between government and fuel businesses.
Ymer quoted a statement by the chairman of the Oil Association, who, according to her, has acknowledged that their demands have all been met by this government.
As for who's helping businesses, we have a statement from the Chairman of the Oil Association saying: The laws have been done just as we've enjoyed them - 99% of the requirements have been met. Minister, that you who helped the oilmen, I don't know that anyone else helped them,” said Ymer.
Furthermore, the LDK deputy went further on charges of nepotism and influence, citing the employment of oil family members within government structures.
