Asked by A2 reporter CNN Ferrela Belesi if the alert they announced last night is about any concrete threat or reliable information concerning Albania, or is about a preliminary warning within the framework of broader regional developments, an American Embassy official said that “would provide more information once available.
The Trump administration has no higher priority than American security and protection. We are co-operating closely with Albanian authorities to assess the situation and ease security risks. The United States Embassy praises its close co-operation in security issues with Albania's Government, which has demonstrated a continued commitment to ensure the safety of American citizens and all of Albania's inhabitants. We will provide more information as soon as it is available”, it says in response.
