Trump-Netanyah call: Regional security and tensions discussed with Turkey

US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation Thursday evening, during which “agreed to continue co-ordination among their countries on various fronts”, according to an announcement by the Israeli prime minister's office.
In the conversation, President Trump informed the prime minister of American actions in the Persian Gulf”, the Netanyah office statement said.
For his part, Netanyah raised concerns about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements and his allies against Israel's existence, as well as stressed the need to preserve security zones along Israel's borders, writes CNN,
Meanwhile, this week Israel expressed concern about the possibility of selling advanced F-35 aircraft to Turkey, an idea Trump had mentioned during the NATO summit.
In an exclusive interview for CNN, Netanyah said Erdogan “is not exactly a model ally of the United States”.
He also claimed that Turkish President “threatens to destroy my country, the only Jewish state in the world”.
