The number one car stolen in the United States in 2025 was Hyundai Elantra, with 21,732 thefts.
Honda Accord was second with 17,797, followed by Hyundai Sonata with 17,687.
According to NCIB, car thefts Hyundai and Kia fell for the third year in a row because they became targets of thieves because they were easy to steal.
Hyundai and Kia made up 14% of all auto thefts last year, from 23% in 2023.
No wonder some vehicles on this list are among the most sold in the United States, such as Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, which make up a high percentage of stolen vehicles.
