Serbs charged with spying tomorrow face justice

Serbian Jelena Djukanovic, employee of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSBE), was arrested on February 28th 2025 at the Jarinje border point in northern Kosovo, and has since been in custody.
Djukanovic is suspected of spying in collaboration with another person, who is also under investigation.
According to the Kosovo Criminal Code, the spying is considered a serious crime and, in case of confirmation of the guilty, is sentenced to minimum five years in prison.
Djukanovic is allegedly co-operating with the Serbian Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA).
