Russia's strategic missile forces have been conducting exercises in Siberia, including camouflaged movements of the Yars intercstrian ballistic missiles, which are able to carry nuclear heads, the Defence Ministry announced on Thursday.
The teams carried out a series of activities, including the use of camouflage and hiding to mask land rocket movements on the ground, according to the ministry, Reuters reported, broadcast the Express newspaper.
They also simulated response to enemy attacks and counteraction against the weapons of air attacks. The ministry did not report any missile launch during these exercises.
Russia regularly exercises its strategic nuclear forces to test combat readiness and send warning signals to the West, at a time of high tension with its NATO opponents because of the war in Ukraine.
