The PDK has demanded that this resolution be included as the first point of the agenda at the Assembly session, given the sensitivity and urgency, which, according to them, relates to recent developments and the fair institutional response to them.
But the Parliamentary Group of the Vetevendosje Movement has not supported this demand.
Under these circumstances and to avoid a default vote for failure, The PDK says it has been forced to temporarily withdraw this resolution from parliamentary procedure and release the Assembly Hall.
“The PDK estimates that refusing to address this issue as a priority is not a procedural decision, but an avoidance from institutional responsibility to defend historical truth and respect the dignity of war victims. The resolution proposed by the PDK aims to condemn any distorting of historical facts, to seek responsibility for misinformation and to ensure clear institutional standards in dealing with the history of the Kosovo war”, the media communiqué reported.
The Kosovo Democratic Party remains determined to return this issue to the Assembly and seek broad political and social support for its approval. Protecting historical truth is not a party's issue, but obligation to the state, to victims and generations to come”
