Former Agriculture Minister and currently Mitrovica Chairman Faton Peci has reacted after the prosecution has rejected the criminal outcry made by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) concerning the distribution of grants into agriculture.

Peci said that this decision confirms his innocence and stressed that during the exercise of office as minister has never interfered with the process of partitioning subsidies or grants.

He described the situation as serious for him and his family, but he added that he has always had faith in his own righteousness and integrity.

“Justice spoke clearly”, he said, stressing that under no circumstances has anyone contacted or instructed for unjust profit from public funds in agriculture.

Peci also accused LDK leaders of false criminal rowing, naming Lumir Abdixhiku and Hykmete Bajrami as initiators of the case.

He warned that he would take legal action against them, as well as against Paris Guri, whom he called “mish”, accusing him of slander and propaganda.

According to him, during the term at the Ministry of Agriculture, some 360m euros have been distributed for over 130 thousand benefit farmers, and no legal violations have been recorded in the process.

In the end, Peci thanked citizens for the support and for, as he said, the failure to provide <x0-manipulation political”, adding that his period at the helm of agriculture has been among the most successful in recent decades.
