IPK investigators arrest a body injury suspect
Pristina/Hajval, April 1st 2025
IPK investigators have been reported by Kosovo Police for an incident in Pristina after midnight, where a police official out of officialship was suspected.
The incident was initially reported to the police as a beating in progress on the “road, Dervis Qolaku” in Pristina, among several people who were suspected of being involved by the police official.
After receiving information, police Inspectorate investigators have responded to the call and made their way to the scene.
Following the enterprise of some investigative actions, the police official (out of official duty and civil clothing) has been arrested on suspicion that he has committed criminal work “heavy bodily implementation”, whose decision by the Constitutional Prosecutorship in Pristina has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
The IPK has also recommended temporary suspension of the official in question in order not to influence the investigative process and guaranteeing independence and impartiality of investigations.
IPK investigators in continued consultation with the prosecutor responsible are expected to take other investigative actions concerning the occasion to clarify the circumstances of this incident.
