Christina Marie Plante was reported missing in May 1994 by Star Valley, Arizona, as she disappeared without leaving any trace of her community, writes. The Guardian, reports KlanKosovo.tv.
Investigators said she was last seen walking out of her house to go to the stable where her horse was and “was not seen in”.
At that time, its disappearance prompted a broad search effort involving local authorities, volunteers, and regional sources. But despite extensive research on the ground, interviews and investigation, no reliable leads were found, said the sheriff's office.
The Plante was registered on the basis of national data of missing children and leaflets for missing persons were distributed at the local, state level and throughout the country.
Over the years, the sheriff's office said that investigators continued to review the case periodically, reviewing the evidence and seeking new information as soon as they became available.
Now, 32 years after her disappearance, the sheriff's office announced Wednesday that Plante was “found alive”. Investigators said they have “confirmed its identity and its status as missing person has been officially resolved”.
The sheriff's office added that “out of respect for Christine's privacy and welfare, additional details will not be published at this time”.
The “Office of Gila County Sheriff remains committed to following all unresolved cases and encourages anyone with information about other unresolved cases to appear”, the statement added. /Periscope
