Konjufca through a Facebook post said she attended this meeting at the invitation of UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, where the situation at Hormuz Strait was discussed after the start of the conflict between Iran, the US and Israel.
He said that at the meeting freedom of navigation cannot be questioned and that international trade corridors cannot be used as a pressure instrument
The “meeting clearly stressed that freedom of navigation cannot be questioned and that international trade corridors cannot be used as a pressure instrument. Protecting civil ships and respecting international law are nonnegotiable principles. The Republic of Kosovo strongly condemns Iran's attacks that violate these principles. Today, at the invitation of United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, I attended a virtual summit with over 40 foreign affairs ministers from various parts of the world to discuss the situation in the Hormuz Strait.
The meeting was clearly stressed that freedom of navigation cannot be questioned and that international trade corridors cannot be used as a pressure instrument. Protecting civil ships and respecting international law are nonnegotiable principles. The Republic of Kosovo strongly condemns Iran's attacks that violate these principles. We stand in line with our partners in calling that the Hormuz Strait should reopen as soon and safely.
Cutoffs on these vital roads are not only regional issues, but directly affect the economies and stability of many countries, including our country. They affect global supply chains, energy prices and economic security in general. For this reason, international co-ordination and a common approach are essential to ensuring the stability and normal functioning of these strategic corridors.
Kosovo remains steadfast in support of its Euro-Atlantic partners and in the Middle East for the protection of freedom of navigation and international security. /Periscope
