The former head of Kosovo's Constitutional Court, Enver Hasani, has declared that the president of the Republic of Kosovo does not exercise executive competencies, rejecting widespread public perception of the role of this institution.
On the Dabbat Plus show, Hasan stressed that the president's role is often misinterpreted, including in academic circles.
No executive competence has the president of the Republic. Even those money that have been said and are not to blame because the students who have competence teach it at the Uryd Faculty. No executive powers, that's cheating. He's got all his chain powers...”, Hasani said.
According to him, the president's competencies are of representative and constitutional nature, not executive, underlining the need for a more accurate understanding of the role of this institution in the Kosovo constitutional system.
