War Veterans' Organisation Chairman Hysni Gucati, along with other representatives, has been homazhe in Rezalla, commemorating the victims of the April 5, 1999.

Gucati stressed that this massacre remains fresh in his memory, naming it one of the most serious crimes committed by Serbian forces during the war in Kosovo.

“As of today, I know this massacre that has occurred, a barbarous massacre by Serbian forces, by the army, police, the paramilitaries they have done in Rezalla. Over 170 were massacred. Here today it has been good to be the protagonist of the book, Shkelzen Gashi with his team, to see this plaque with names and surnames, to get and know that there has been massacres in this country, not only in this country, but in the entire territory of Kosovo there have been massacres. And this month from June, we're going to visit all the massacres and we're going to visit all the terrain. “, Gucati said.

 

 

He added that visits to these countries are a moral obligation for citizens and institutions in order to honour victims and stay close to their families.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Association of Families of martyrs, Xhavit Jashari, has spoken about protest and reactions to the recent exhibition in Pristina and the book distorting the history of the Kosovo Liberation Army war.

He said their address has been to institutions that have financed such an exhibition aimed at distorting history, stressing that there must be precise references and verified by scientific institutions.

“Rather than these institutions raise their voices and do not have a single word to appeal to the Council of Europe and the European Parliament to review the resolution on which the Special Court was established to do injustice to the Kosovo Liberation Army war, they finance such people as sources of information have our former conqueror, Serbia, and the secret service of this state. That's why we even said we'd do a little snooping around the righteous bodies that day. But since prosecution intervention and interviewing, I'm telling that idiot again, who knows the purpose of what he did, as I said was distorting the history”, he said.

Jashar stressed that reactions and objections to any attempt to distort war history will continue.

“Imagine, it is disturbing when it is said by this person who was the prime minister's adviser, from this person who was financed his book, and the damage was done to the Kosovo Liberation Army war because Minister Gervala has bought books and distributed them to diplomacy, but he himself has seen such books. So I think there will be a prosecutor's work and a decision will be made. And we've requested and demanded that the law be issued to protect the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army and those who want to write accurate, factual references and evidence, can be obtained from the competent organs that are scientific institutions, in this case the Institute of History, Albanological, the Academy of Sciences” - said Jashari.

Jashar said there is no withdrawal from the protests and that reactions will continue towards any attempt to tarnish the Kosovo Liberation Army war.
