GLPS calls new legal violation the announcement of the competition for Parliament Secretary

The GLPS estimates that the decision constitutes legal violations, as the headship has overlooked the regular process of recruiting, not selecting any of the legitimate candidates and re-declared the contest without the legal procedure being completed.

According to the GLPS, the annulment of the competition on the sole basis of lack of votes, without verifying other legal violations, creates a dangerous precedent that undermines meritocracy, professionalism, depoliticisation and non-discrimination of civil service principles.

The group also stresses that the move violates the rights and expectations of the winning candidates and could discourage future applications for the position.

The GLPS has called on the Parliament's Headship to review the decision and complete the process through the appointment of one of the winning candidates, in accordance with the law.

Any other action, according to G The LPS, except that it is illegal, also violates the judicial order and principles of accepting civil service.
