In a Facebook post, Ademiaj said his sister's loss has been an indescribable blow to the family, saying no one could be prepared for such a tragedy.
Thank you a thousand times. If one day, suddenly, you receive news that your daughter, sister, or family sister has been killed is a situation that no one is prepared for. That's how Liridona was killed. The sorrow and sorrow that befell us cannot be described by words, for they cannot be measured: they can conquer and break the heart. In those days there is something that is of particular importance and that always remains with people, and that is the solidarity of people and the work of institutions. So today, as we feel a little relieved of punishment from criminals, we want to thank all those who reacted and stood by”, he wrote.
Ademiaj thanked reporters for, as he said, professional and ethical reporting, as well as the public for thousands of messages of support from Kosovo and diaspora.
So today, as we feel a little relieved of punishment from criminals, we want to thank all those who reacted and stood by us. Thank the media, journalists and journalists for reporting on our case. I, like Leonard, haven't had a media experience and I'm sorry if I've ever been unable to answer, but I'm grateful that you understood me and my family. Journalists in Kosovo have shown high level of ethics in reporting our case, and we thank them for that. Thank the public, who with thousands of messages and comments from around the world supported us, strengthened us and encouraged us to fight for justice”, he wrote among other things.
A special gratitude he addressed to investigators, the Kosovo Police, the Prosecutor and the Court for handling the case, praising their professionalism.
He also mentioned his family lawyer, Leutrim Syla, as well as activist Butterfly Kusari, who called his family constant support from the very first day of the event.
“Thank you to investigators, police, prosecution and court for their work and professionalism. Thank you for our lawyer, Leutrim Syla. His professional representation before the institutions, his instructions for us as a family and personal care he has shown, have given us great confidence, and we thank him very much. This case has required much work, and the relief has worked day and night so that this case can be completed as well. Thank you, Kusari, who from the first day Liridona was killed has stayed with us, guided us, helped us, and most of all stayed close to our mother. Many people think that the butterfly is our family. She's not, but we've often told her that you've become a member of our family. Finally, we mean: Kosovo should become a country where no women should be persecuted, attacked or killed. The child has to end, and we, as the Ademithaj family, are available to join every cause and initiative that helps stop the childicide”, Adamaj wrote.
