Ferizaj: 3m euro property fraud, police detain a suspect

According to the official announcement, the suspect is being investigated for several criminal acts, including “Defeit”, “forging documents” and “Legalisation of false content”, which is suspected to have been carried out in co-operation with other people, reports Klan Kosova.tv.
Investigations have revealed allegations based that suspects have forged identification documents and certificates of ownership of a complaint party, thus failing to illegally alter a property of seven hectares in the Ferizaj municipality. The estimated value of this property on the market is estimated at around 3m euros.
According to the police, the property was then paralysed and sold to third persons.
Under the investigation, an investigation was conducted at the court's order at a location, where a mobile phone and documents linking the case were seized.
After the interview, with the prosecutor's decision, the suspect has been detained for 48 hours.
Police have indicated that in this case, on February 19, 2026, four other people have been arrested, who are also suspected of involvement in this criminal scheme.
Authorities stress that investigations are ongoing, while Kosovo Police say they remain committed to fighting crime and ensuring rule of law in the country. /Periscope
