In his speech he confirmed that all citizens are equal before the law, adding that “and citizens living outside the capital are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”.
The 10-euro capital's “Tax for vehicles registered outside the capital, legally speaking, is a violation of the principle of equality. Even citizens living outside the capital are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, citizens who have a capital and are equal before law”, Mehmeti said.
He quotes Article 14, paragraph 2 of the proposed regulation before the Municipal Assembly, which he claims is among the most problematic provisions.
“Article 14, paragraph 2, which says: “Every vehicle registered outside the capital's territory, which enters the area designated by the capital, is subject to the tax fee in the amount of 10 (ten) euros for input”, is among the most problematic provisions.
