Castle is owned by British company British Petroleum. However, the company agreed to sell 65 per cent of its shares to the American investment firm Stonepeak, writes Skynews.
A company source told Shago agency that a threat fell within the facility, causing major damage following the lighting of a fire involving large quantities of oil.
The source was quoted as saying that no staff in the country was hurt by the attack, writes Skynews.
Social media sharing shows that the roof of a warehouse in Erbil has been destroyed, with large flames and heavy smoke coming out.
Otherwise, Iran's Revolutionary Guard has warned every employee working for US-related industrial companies and Israel in the Middle East to evacuate, reports Iranian state news agency Tasnim. She said the attacks would begin today. /Telegraph
