This was made known by Shkodran Nikci, spokesperson for Pec's Founding Prosecutor.
“Under the investigations we are undertaking for the election process of manipulation of votes, respectively, of counting candidates of political subjects. The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pec, for the Pec municipality so far, has accepted nine criminal charges against 49 people. At the same time, a total of 31 criminal charges against 200 people, mainly leading leaders and decision commissioners, are expected to be accepted. Meanwhile, the state prosecutor in full co-ordination with the Kosovo Police would then take all necessary legal actions”, Nikci said.
He stressed that 49 people have so far been interviewed as suspected of manipulation of votes in elections held on December 28th 2025, while more than 200 people are expected to be interviewed only for the Pec municipality.
So far 49 people have been interviewed and we have accepted nine criminal charges. More than 200 people are expected to be interviewed only for the Pec municipality and accept over 31 criminal charges against them. Once these are accepted, I believe the State Prosecutor will analyse and in most cases we have taken other legal actions that this phase is confidential, but after the entire process is completed, public opinion will be announced”, he told Clankosova.tv.
