The Ukrainian Army attacked two Russian factories that produced and repaired military transport and cargo planes in the Ulyanovsk and Novgorod regions, Ukraine's General Staff said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the attack at the Avianstar plant, part of Russia's United Avian Corporation, in the town of Ulyanovsk, was carried out on 16 March, Reuters reported.
The factory produces Ilyushin-76 military transport planes MD-90A, fuel supply Ilyusin-78 M-90A and offers maintenance services to the cargo planes “Ruslan”, and is located about 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
