Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Xhelal Svecla, has held a working meeting today with civil affairs officials of the Mitrovica region, as well as with relevant interior affairs ministry officials engaged in implementing the Foreign Auto-Land Law, which have entered into force on March 15th this year.
During the meeting, Minister Svechla thanked those present for their participation and commitment, stressing the importance of continuing co-ordination between the central and local levels, with the aim of unified and efficient implementation of the last decisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Next, he underlined that the role of officials is essential for the success of this process, while cutting off timely and accurate citizens' information and co-operation with them as key elements for achieving target results.
In this context, Minister Svecla stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is working with full institutional capacity to ensure that the process started to develop in line with the previous dynamic and with legal standards in force.
He added that the MPB is in close co-ordination with municipalities, Kosovo Police and the Civil Record Agency, with the aim of ensuring full implementation of legal obligations by all parties involved.
It has also become known that, in order to facilitate the implementation of this process, MPB has established special support teams, which will provide assistance and clarification to any uncertainty that may be presented during handling requirements, contributing to increased efficiency in administrative procedures.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs remains committed to the full implementation of legislation in force and to strengthening interilateral co-operation in the function of providing quality services to citizens.
