Finland was declared the happiest country in the world for the 9th time in a row, with Iceland in second place and Denmark in third place, in the rankings compiled by the Center for Health Research at Oxford University and included in the annual report on global happiness.

Researchers consider six factors, including GDP per capita, life expectancy, generosity and perceptions of freedom and corruption, to explain the differences between countries.
