Osmani welcomes implementation of EU decision to abolish measures against Kosovo

She thanked the Commission and member states for its support and reminded Kosovo of its commitment to working closely with the EU towards candidate status.

Based on the decision announced in December by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen, for removing all EU measures against Kosovo, after the Western Balkans Summit, we welcome today's confirmation from the Commission that this decision has already been fully implemented.

I thank the Commission and all our partners from member states for supporting the outcome of this issue, which resulted in the removal of unjust measures that negatively affected the lives of Kosovo citizens.

Kosovo remains committed to working closely with the EU and moving ahead on the road towards EU membership candidate status.
