Suspected of food poisoning at a pizza in Pristina, police have launched investigations -- all known so far

Kosovo police have launched investigations concerning allegations that around 20 people have been poisoned after consuming food at a pizza in Pristina. The case is being investigated in co-ordination with the State Prosecutor and relevant institutions.
Police have confirmed that 10 July has received information on an alleged food poisoning case.
In terms of your questions, we announce that in 10,07.26, police have accepted information about the suspicion of food poisoning of some people. The necessary police action in co-ordination with the State Prosecutor and relevant institutions” has been immediately undertaken, the police response said.
Meanwhile, those allegedly affected by poisoning have sought medical help at the Infectious Clinic of the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK) since Friday.
The chief of change at the Infectious Clinic, Izet Sadiku, has announced that 16 patients have been hospitized since Friday, while three others have sought treatment during Sunday.
“16 patients have been hospitalised since Friday, while three others have come this Sunday”, Sadiku has declared.
According to him, doctors are awaiting laboratory analysis results to determine the exact cause of poisoning and to verify whether the patient's condition is related to consumed food.
He has made it known that the patient's health is good and that they are receiving the necessary medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the Food and Veterinary Agency has not yet come up with an official statement concerning the case.
