In a conversation for RTV21, Nagavci said President Osmani's decree is unconstitutional, broadcasts Periscope.
“Even a set of choices are unnecessary and should not be held. In that spirit there are invitations to meetings, although we are awaiting the Constitutional Court's decision. This implies that we, in addition to believing that addressing the Court of the decree issue for the distribution of the Assembly is appropriate, consider that by that decree the Constitution has been violated and there has been interference in the competencies of the Parliament. This also shows our willingness to offer a solution and continue the work.”, Nagavci said.
LVV's chief of deputies expects the Constitutional Court to decide on arguments delivered by Prime Minister Kurti and LVV parliamentary group. However, it warns that they will respect any Constitutional Court decision.
We believe the arguments are on our side. It is among the few cases when the community of experts and connoisseurs take almost the same stance, respectively, in supporting arguments that the decree to distribute the Assembly was unconstitutional. We expect the Court to make a meritary decision, based on arguments and professional integrity. The LVV has always respected the decisions of courts and institutions. Although we have had public attitudes, organized political shares, and expressed our beliefs, we have always respected the decisions of our institutions.”, she said.
