Ilir Meta offers 50,000 euros in guarantees to leave the cell, JKKO makes decision for former president

Albania's former president, Ilir Meta, has offered 50,000 euros in guarantees to leave the cell, but this has been knocked down by the JKKO.

In a press proposal, his lawyer, Kujtim Cakran, said there is no more reason why Ilir Meta still stays in the basements of 313.

We placed “at a very specific disposal, up to 50 ml and the court failed to raise. The hearing went well, but the last moment everything changed. We will continue our battle, apply even when the case is finally over. We are on our way to replace the move against the president. That's why the president has to stay in the basements of 313. I asked the judge, I told him today to present it to the president, there's no possibility of a trial failure or my investigation, and I asked him to give him a gift. But our war doesn't end these”, the lawyer said.

We remember that the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, deposited a new request on the JKKO, calling for replacement of the security measure “prison arrest” with a easier measure.

The request was made just a day after the court imposed passage for the prosecution of Meta's criminal file and several other people, including Monika Grande, Fatime Kryoo, Pirro Gijo and Emma Chok.

The process against him is linked to corruption charges, money laundering and hiding wealth, while the issue has already entered the ground trial phase.
