In Dogan's response, the threat reportedly occurred on March 23rd, when Dogana has undertaken official verification regarding a derivative container that has been recorded suspicious elements in documentation, including transaction parameters and the value that serves as a customs base for calculating customs duties.
In question, Kosovo Customs has made the official appearance of competent bodies and expects immediate, complete and impartial action by the prosecution bodies so that those responsible can face legal consequences, it is said among other things in the statement.

Pristina 24 March 2026, Kosovo Customs condemns in the most severe way the threat addressed to a customs official, the high-level manager, by the authorised representative of one of the major subjects operating in the majority trade and retail oil derivatives.
The threat has occurred on March 23rd, 2026, when Kosovo Customs has undertaken official verifications regarding a detivat container that has been recorded suspicious elements in documentation, including transaction parameters and the value it serves as a customs base for calculating customs duties. Under its legal mandate, Dogana is exercising full control to ensure law enforcement and to ensure that any declaration is accurate and in line with legislation in force.
Any attempt to intimidate, undermine or influence customs officials during the exercise of official office constitutes a direct attack on the legal order, state authority and the functioning of public institutions. Such threats are absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. For the case in question, Kosovo Customs has made the official presentation on competent bodies and expects immediate, complete and impartial action by the prosecution organs so that those responsible can face the legal consequences. The Kosovo Customs Management stands firmly behind each official and guarantees full institutional support for each decision and legitimate, professional and mandate-based action. No one will be allowed to put pressure on customs officials or violate the integrity of official processes through threat or orientation.
Kosovo customs will continue without hesitation the exercise of its constitutional and legal responsibilities, protecting public interest, fair competition and equal law enforcement against each economic operator indiscriminately.
